President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Arrives in Mongolia for a State Visit
PoliticsUlaanbaatar, September 30, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and General Secretary of the ruling Party To Lam arrived in Mongolia on September 30, 2024, with a State Visit.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam J. Sereejav, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Mongolia Nguyen Doan Thang, along with other officials greeted President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and the Vietnamese delegation at Chinggis Khaan International Airport of Mongolia.
This State Visit marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and will include official talks between the two Heads of State. The two Presidents are also expected to sign several cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening the legal basis between the two countries. Additionally, Speaker of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve and Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai will pay a courtesy call on President To Lam to exchange views on a wide range of issues concerning the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam established diplomatic relations on November 17, 1954.
