Mongolia and Uzbekistan to Cooperate on Digital Governance

Ulaanbaatar, June 20, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia and the Republic of Uzbekistan will cooperate in digital governance and information technology.


State Secretary of Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia Battsetseg Bataa received a delegation headed by First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Pekos Oleg Andreyevich on June 19, 2024. 


At the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on opportunities to develop cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan in digital governance and information technology.


First Deputy Minister Pekos Oleg Andreyevich commended the Mongolian Government's e-transition policy and activities, highlighting the concrete results achieved in a short timeframe. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with Mongolia to support information technology startups in the two countries and exchange experiences to develop the e-economy in the future.


Following their discussions, the two sides agreed to cooperate on the issues touched in the meeting.
