Ulaanbaatar, June 17, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of June 17-23, 2024. 

In Ulaanbaatar:

June 17: The socio-economic situation of Mongolia in the first 5 months of 2024 will be presented.

June 19: The regular meeting of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace.

June 19: The Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and “Sigma”, a South Korean company, will hold the “Business-to-Business Meeting between Mongolia and Business Owners of Busan, the Republic of Korea.”

June 19: The Natural Resource Governance Institute of Mongolia and the “Mongolian Data Group”, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, will hold the “Analysis and Visualization of Data in the Mining Sector” workshop for civil society and the press. 

June 22: State Opera and Ballet Academic Theatre of Mongolia will close its 61st season with Giacomo Puccini’s “Chio Chio San” opera.

June 22-23: International Volleyball Tournament will be held in Ulaanbaatar.

Campaign for the 2024 Regular Election of the State Great Khural of Mongolia will continue until June 27. 

In connection with the 2024 Regular Election of the State Great Khural, local migration of citizens will be halted from April 29 until June 29, 2024, under relevant laws and regulations.

The "Motion Mongolia" International Contemporary Dance Festival, organized by  the Arts Council of Mongolia continues. 

Local Events: 

June 20: A Joint Musical Performance by the “Bolor Egshiglen” group of the 5th school of Sainshand soum, Dornogobi aimag, and the “Gurvan Saikhnii Egshiglen” band from Umnugobi aimag will be held in the “Sarankhukhuu Theatre” of Sainshand City of Dornigobi aimag. 

June 22-29: “Mongol Gobi” international multi-day, 225 km ultramarathon will be held in Umnugobi aimag.

June 23: A Joint Musical Performance by the “Bolor Egshiglen” group of the 5th school of Sainshand soum, Dornogobi aimag, and the “Gurvan Saikhnii Egshiglen” band from Umnugobi aimag, will be held in the Musical Drama Theatre (“Khugjimt Bujgiin Theatre”) of Dalanzadgad City of Umnugobi aimag. 

“My Mongolian Clothes”, “Mongolian State Symbol”, “Mongolian Ger”, “I am a Painter”, and “Let’s Paint with Different Colors” educational programs for children, and “Peace and Serenity of Mandala” for adults are being held in Dornogobi aimag’s Museum and Center for Training and Research.

The “Let's Adore Our Heritage” movement for visiting museums is being held in Zavkhan aimag. Also, an open book reading event to prepare for the General Entrance Exam of Mongolia is being held in the library named after B. Ywuukhulan.

Events Abroad: 

Mongolians living abroad will vote for the 2024 regular election of the State Great Khural of Mongolia in Mongolian Embassies abroad from June 20-23, 2024, 7:00-22:00 /local time/.
