Foreign Minister Battsetseg to Chair 80th Session of ESCAP

Ulaanbaatar, April 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The 80th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will be held under the theme “Leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific” on April 22-26, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. The delegation of Mongolia headed by Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, will participate in the upcoming session of ESCAP, and the Minister will also serve as the Chairperson of the 80th session of the Commission.


Since joining ESCAP in 1961, Mongolia has been actively engaging in cooperation and initiatives in trade, investment, environment, statistics, poverty reduction, energy, disaster risk reduction, transit, trade facilitation, and the interests of landlocked developing countries.
