Government of China Provides Dzud Assistance to Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, March 4, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia Shen Minjuan on March 4, 2024.
Ambassador Shen Minjuan introduced that the Government of the People's Republic of China would provide USD 200,000, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region would donate more than USD 170,000 in material aid to the Government of Mongolia in response to Mongolia's severe dzud condition. The Ambassador handed over the certificate to the Prime Minister of Mongolia.
On behalf of the Government of Mongolia, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of the People's Republic of China. The Premier highlighted that as a good neighbor, China demonstrated solidarity with Mongolia by providing emotional and material support and donations to herders impacted by the dzud.
Moreover, the two sides exchanged views on Mongolia-China relations, economic cooperation, and the implementation of measures under the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the People's Republic of China.
