Mongolian Government Extends Condolences over Tragic Accident

Ulaanbaatar, January 25, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Government of Mongolia has expressed its condolences for the tragic traffic accident that occurred in the territory of Bayanzurkh district in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Condolences:
On the
night between 23 and 24 January 2024, a traffic accident occurred between a
liquefied natural gas (LNG) truck and a car in the territory of 26th Khoroo of
Bayanzurkh District of Ulaanbaatar City. The impact resulted in a massive fire
outbreak and explosions, causing irreparable loss and serious damages.
The
Government of Mongolia extends its heartfelt condolences to the families,
children, relatives, and colleagues of Sergeant Barsuren Davaajav, Senior
Sergeant Amgalanbayar Shirnen, and Sergeant Tuvshintur Erdendavaa, firefighters
of the 63rd Fire Fighting and Rescue Unit of the National Fire Service of
Mongolia, who lost their lives in the line of duty for ensuring the safety of people.
Their heroic actions will be forever etched in the memories of the Government
and the people of Mongolia.
The
Mongolian Government and the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia
are expeditiously working to find the cause of the accident, evaluate the
extent of the damage, provide medical assistance to the victims, ensure the
safety of citizens, and coordinate the necessary support measures.
