Mongolia and Uzbekistan to Implement Joint Economic Programs

Ulaanbaatar, December 1, 2023 /MONTSAME/.  On December 1, 2023, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa who is participating in the World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) of the United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP 28.  in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.


During the meeting, President U. Khurelsukh noted its desire to expand friendly relations and cooperation and strengthen political dialogue, and ties between citizens with Uzbekistan, which is linked by history, spirituality, heritage, and tradition,.


The Heads of State of the two countries expressed the commitments of Mongolia and Uzbekistan, as landlocked developing countries, to share their development experiences and further develop cooperation in key sectors such as tourism, agriculture, light industry, transport, and logistics.


In addition, the Presidents agreed to implement joint projects and programs in the fields of agriculture and light industry, to establish a Program for the Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation between Mongolia and Uzbekistan in the near future, and to expand cooperation on the regional and international platforms.


President Sh. Mirziyoyev invited  President Khurelsukh to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan at his convenience.
