New Scholarship Agreement to Help Mongolians Study in Inner Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, October 5, 2023 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Communist Party Secretary of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Sun Shaocheng is paying an Official Visit to Mongolia on October 1-5, 2023.
At the official talks with Communist Party Secretary Sun Shaocheng, the two sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between Mongolia and the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of the PRC in trade, economy, investment, infrastructure, energy, tourism, education, culture, and humanitarian sectors under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership relations of Mongolia and the People's Republic of China.
During the Visit, several cooperation agreements were signed, including a Scholarship Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia and the People's Government of the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region for Mongolian Students to Study in Inner Mongolia. The Agreement was signed by Sh. Narantuya, Director of Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, and Zhang Jun Xi, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Education of Inner Mongolia.
Starting December 31, 2024, Mongolian students will be able to study at universities in Inner Mongolia, with 200 slots available for bachelor's degrees, 40 for master's degrees, and 20 for doctoral degrees under the Agreement.
Communist Party Secretary of Inner Mongolia Sun Shaocheng will meet with the Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene, Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia Ya. Sodbaatar and other members of the Government of Mongolia as part of his Visit.
