Minister L. Enkh-Amgalan Receives President of Honam University

July 28, 2023 /MONTSAME/. On July 27, 2023, the Minister of Education and Science
L. Enkh-Amgalan received the President of Honam University, South Korea, Park
Sang Cheol, and the Honorary Consul of Mongolia in the Republic of Korea Kim Myeong Gun,
and exchanged views on cooperation.
At the outset of the meeting, the Minister
congratulated the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the
Mongolian National University of Education and the Honam University and wished
them to work effectively. Moreover, he gave information on some active
scholarship programs, such as the "President’s Scholarship-2100",
initiated by the President of Mongolia, and the scholarship program named after
the Prime Minister.
Emphasizing the need for Mongolia to train
and prepare approximately 40,000 specialists in pursuit of its goals outlined
in the Long-Term Development Policy and the New Revival Policy, the Minister
expressed a commitment to support all forms of cooperation in this matter.
The President of Honam University Park Sang
Cheol said that Honam University is ready to cooperate with Mongolian
universities to train professionals in the fields of information technology,
culture, art, and the Korean language.
