Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia S. Amarsaikhan had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam and exchanged views on the issues of increasing the bilateral trade turnover and developing tourism cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan said during the meeting that Mongolia has implemented an electronic visa system and is currently issuing visas to nationals of 35 different countries. He also highlighted that starting on December 1 Vietnamese nationals will be able to apply for visas online.

In addition, he proposed the establishment of a joint working group between the relevant ministries of the two countries, saying, "In view of the growing demand for coking coal and energy with the rapid development of industrialization in Vietnam, we propose to study and implement the possibility of exporting coking coal and other mining products from Mongolia to Vietnam."

The Ambassador underscored the necessity for Vietnam to purchase mining goods on a top priority basis, particularly lignite, and the need to resolve the logistics and transport challenges. He also expressed his interest in supplying meat and meat products from Mongolia to Vietnam.

The Government of Mongolia would support and cooperate with the proposals put forth by the Vietnamese side, the Deputy Prime Minister said in response.
