M.Ankhtsetseg becomes two-time Asian Champion

Our weightlifters who were representing their country in the continental championship participated with great success. Four female weightlifters are participating in the ‘Manama-2022’ headed by State Honored Coach Ts.Khosbayar and E.Enkhtamir won a silver medal in the weight category of 59 kg at the snatch podium, G.Anujin won a duo bronze in weight 71 kg at the snatch and total score, and O.Darkhijav won a silver medal in weight 76 kg at the snatch.
At "Manama-2022" under the leadership of honored coach T.Khosbayar, our four female weightlifters tested their strength; E. Enkhtamir won silver in the weight category of 59 kg, G. Anujin won bronze in the weight category of 71 kg, bronze in total, O. Darkhijav in the weight category of 76 kg won a silver medal.
World Champion, a State Honored athlete, and known to her people as ‘Golden Girl’ M. Ankhtsetseg ordered 105 kg for the snatch and 135 kg for the clean & jerk, which was the highest order for this weight category. Coach Ts.Khosbayar changed her first order to 111 kg after seeing the progress of the competition and the success of other athletes, and she lifted successfully in the first entry. She ordered his second entry at 114 kg and lifted it, and secured the gold medal.
M. Ankhtsetseg could not perform the first entry with a snatch. In the second entry, however, she took 135 kg easily. Sports journalist Ts. Enkhtuvshin (Tavan Tsagarig) reported that she won the gold medal in the clean & jerk and by total score.
All four athletes of our country have medals (3 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze) from the Asian Championship making the State Flag raised and the National Anthem played in Bahrain.
Next December, the World Championship will take place in Colombia.
