Mongolia-Canada agriculture cooperation to be expanded

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture,
and Light Industry Mr. G. Batsuuri met with Director General of the Market
Access Secretariat of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Ms. Michelle Cooper
on August 25, 2022, in Ottawa and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.
The two sides exchanged information on the actions taken
following the third meeting of the Mongolia-Canada Joint Agriculture Committee
and emphasized the importance of concrete measures for implementing their
cooperation goals. They also agreed on cooperation related to food security and
food deficit currently faced by the world, as well as the development of
climate-smart agriculture, promotion of environment-friendly agriculture,
animal health, animal genetics, seeds technology, and agriculture sector
management.
