National cardiac center project to be continued until 2027

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The national cardiac center and
cardiovascular services improvement project, which is being implemented by the support
of the Luxembourg government will be continued until 2027.
The Memorandum of Understanding on extending the project was
signed by Minister of Finance of Mongolia B.Javkhlan and Minister for Development
Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and Minister of the Economy of
the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Mr. Franz Fayot on July 26.
This project, which has been implemented for the past 20
years, has played an important role in reducing cardiovascular diseases and
related deaths among the population of Mongolia and improving health. This
cooperation project will continue until 2027 to improve the skills of doctors
and specialists and the capacity of the Cardiovascular Center of the Shastin-3rd
State Central Hospital.
In frames of the project, two severe cardiovascular diseases
were removed from the list of diseases which are necessarily treated abroad, thanks
to the introduction and localization of advanced technology of cardiovascular
diagnosis and treatment in the health care services of the country. Thus, it
became possible for citizens to receive high-quality diagnosis and treatment in
their own country.
