B.Gandul wins bronze medal from Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian junior fencing team has successfully
participated in the Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships 2022 that took
place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan between February 24 and March 3.
About 500 athletes from 25 countries competed in the championship, including Mongolia's four young fencers, namely G. Temuulen, H. Anand, B. Gandul and E. Temuulen.
B. Gandul was matched up
against an experienced athlete from Kazakhstan in 1/8 final, and defeated him with a score of 15:13. But in the semi-final, he
was defeated by a fencer from Uzbekistan with a score of 15:9, and grabbed a
bronze medal.
It is the first time for a Mongolian athlete to win a bronze medal from the Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships.
