Permanent Representative to UN in Vienna presents credentials

Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations in Vienna M.Tsengeg
presented his credentials to Executive
Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Director-General
of the United Nations Office at Vienna Ghada Waly on January 25.
The Permanent Representative said
Mongolia will continue to take an active part in the activities of the Ad Hoc
Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering
the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes, the
Mechanism for the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention
against Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto, and other
activities of UNODC.
Executive Director Ghada Waly
informed that there are opportunities for the sides to cooperate on projects
and seek funds from international donors as part of UNODC’s global initiatives
and programs.
Moreover, Permanent
Representative M.Tsengeg and the UNODC Executive Director emphasized that they
will pay attention to expanding cooperation between Mongolia and UNODC in
combating corruption and money laundering, and preventing terrorism and cybercrime.
