COVID-19: 240 new cases reported

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health reported today, December 21 that 240 СOVID-19 infections and two deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. In detail, 169 cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city, with 67 cases in 21 provinces and four imported cases.


Today, the cumulative infection tally in Mongolia has increased to 388,544, with the death toll to 1,974. Currently, 2,172 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19 whilst 3,918 people with mild symptoms are being treated at home. 


The coverage of 1st dose has reached 69.6 percent (2,264,713), 2nd dose – 66.4 percent (2,160,782) and 3rd dose or a booster shot of COVID-19 vaccines – 26.1 percent (862,179) of the total population.
