Earthquake tremors felt in the country’s northern region
EnvironmentUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A 5.7 magnitude earthquake has been recorded near the Baikal Lake in Russia, approximately 150 km from the border of Mongolia. The quake struck the area at 9:51 pm on December 15.
The Emergency Management Departments located in Ulaanbaatar city as well as the aimags of Selenge, Darkhan-Uul, and Orkhon have reported that tremors were felt and no property damages were reported.
