State Secretary of Transport Ministry attends UNCTAD workshop

Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport development S.Batbold took part
in a workshop on Fostering Trade in Land-Locked Commodity-Dependent Developing
Countries: Trade and Transport Facilitation organized by the United Nations
Conference on Trade and Development on November 24-25.
The workshop participants discussed
opportunities for exporting meat and meat products from Mongolia, coffee from
Ethiopia, corn from Laos, and dried fruit from Uzbekistan, improving the
infrastructure and logistics and facilitating trade.
In his remarks, State
Secretary S.Batbold presented the Mongolian government’s actions on trade and
transport facilitation, saying that efforts are underway to cope with trade and
transport barriers by expanding the transport and logistics network, seeking access
to sea through neighboring countries, and developing other modes of
transport.
