Total sales of stocks decreased by 69.1 percent

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. In the first 10 months of 2021, 541.1
million pieces of securities worth MNT 1.1 trillion were traded at the national
stock market, increased by MNT 1.1 trillion (29.3 times) and 304.9 million
pieces of securities (2.3 times) compared to the same period of the previous
year.
In October 2021, total sales of stocks reached MNT 14.3 billion, decreased by MNT 31.8 billion (69.1percent) from the previous month. The number of pieces of traded securities reached 17.5 million, decreased by 27.9 million pieces (61.5 percent) from the previous month.
In October 2021, the average of indices of the top 20 financial markets was 40357.5 units, decreased by 4466.9 units from the previous month, but increased by 22899.5 units from the same period of 2020.
In October 2021, the total value of joint-stock companies operating at stock markets reached MNT 4.9 trillion, decreased by MNT 98.8 billion (2.0 percent) from the previous month, but showed an increase of MNT 2.3 trillion (89.8 percent) from the same period of the previous year.
