Mongolian judo athletes grab three bronze medals from Paris Grand Slam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the second day of the Paris Grand Slam 2021, matches took place for the men’s 81 kg, 90 kg, and 100 kg weight classes, and the women’s 70 kg and 78 kg weight classes. 

 

Judoka G.Bolor-Ochir won the bronze medal in the men’s 81 kg weight class on the second day, while B.Khorloodoi and E.Ariunbold grabbed bronze medals in their respective weight classes on the first day of the tournament, . 

 

Alongside three judokas that competed in the Tokyo Olympics, the national team of 22 athletes representing Mongolia mainly consisted of young wrestlers. 

 

The medal ranking was led by the team of Japan with 7 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, followed by the team of Russia with 3 gold and 2 silver medals, and the team of Israel with 2 gold and 1 bronze medal.
