Project External Advisory Committee of ‘Switch Off Air Pollution’ convenes

H.E. Mr. Sebastien Surun,
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to
Mongolia, Mr. Josef Kostiha, Deputy Head of Mission of the Czech Republic in
Mongolia, and Mr. Pierre-Yves Lucas, Cooperation team leader of EU Delegation
to Mongolia were invited as honorable guests and made an opening remark.
In the meeting, the Embassy of
the Federal Republic of Germany, Asian Development Bank, Ministry of Construction and Urban
Development, Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Ulaanbaatar City
Governor's Office, XacBank, Khan Bank, Transcapital NBFI, Mongolian Sustainable
Finance Association, UNICEF, GIZ, World Vision Mongolia INGO, Mongolian Red
Cross Society, World Bank's Ulaanbaatar Clean Air Additional Financing Project,
Mongolian Women's Foundation, project Implementing Partners, project brigades
and suppliers participated and discussed the project achievements, challenges,
and future plan.
During the meeting, the
project implementing partners provided information on the activities organized
and the results of the project. For instance, regular training provided to
project MSMEs, community response feedback mechanism documentation and a
handbook on insulation technology solutions, improved testing of Veranda, and
the ‘Simple solution’ campaign to raise awareness of the importance of
insulation.
At the end of the meeting,
participants provided suggestions and received answers to their questions, and
Beatriz Maroto Izquierdo, Country Director of Geres INGO, the lead implementer
of the project, expressed appreciation to the project team, partners, and
funders for their continuous support and collaboration.
