Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D.Sumiyabazar held an online meeting with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia. During the meeting, the Mayor presented the pressing issues of Ulaanbaatar city and ways to solve them and the sides discussed ways to reduce traffic, ease congestion, and improve basic infrastructure in the capital city.
Mayor D.Sumiyabazar said the Law on Legal Status of Ulaanbaatar has been successfully amended after 27 years, which makes the city economically independent, and stressed the importance of optimal allocation of funds in solving the city’s pressing issues. He also said efforts are underway to upgrade the public transport service and introduce a more advanced traffic system to reduce traffic, one of the key pressing issues in Ulaanbaatar, with the Government’s support.
AmCham Mongolia Executive Director O.Adiya thanked the governor for providing detailed information on projects and activities planned to support Ulaanbaatar’s development, and solve its pressing issues and expressed readiness to cooperate with the Ulaanbaatar government in addressing the pressing issues.
