Works underway to open a school with Russian language curriculum in Songinokhairkhan district

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city D.Sumiyabazar, MP B.Jargalmaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov, and Governor of Songinokhairkhan district N.Altanshagai worked in the capital city district.


In one of the administrative units of the district, a new school building is being built with a capacity of 640 students. As of currently, the construction progress is at 85 percent.

 

 

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Russian Federation received a request for the school to have a Russian language curriculum, the corresponding officials became acquainted with the construction work and exchanged views. Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city S.Sumiyabazar highlighted that putting the new school into operation with a Russian language curriculum could have various advantages as works are currently being implemented to decentralize the capital city by developing subcenters.


During the working visit, Russian Ambassador I.K.Azizov expressed his support for the suggestion put forth, and advised to hold a meeting with specialists in the education sector.
