Health Minister meets UN Resident Coordinator

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Health S.Enkhbold on July 29 had a meeting with Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Mongolia Tapan Mishra. They discussed COVID-19 situation in the country and measures to take in the future. The UN Resident Coordinator emphasized that the Health Ministry’s successful vaccination of 60.1 percent of the population against COVID-19 is a great achievement. 


Minister S.Enkhbold outlined ongoing policy measures such as lowering daily COVID-19 cases, preventing a surge in cases of Delta, safely reopening educational institutions, and seasonal flu vaccination efforts. 


Mr. Tapan Mishra mentioned that the Ministry of Health in partnership with UN Mongolia and World Health Organization has successfully organized several international medical team meetings in 2020 and and pledged further support to the Mongolian government’s efforts.
