Wrestler S.Battsetseg qualifies for semifinals at Tokyo Olympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The freestyle wrestling matches for the women’s 68 kg weight class kicked off today at the Tokyo Olympics. State Honored Athlete S.Battsetseg is competing in the weight class.
In her first match, she stepped onto the mat against Koumba Larroque of France. Despite getting behind by 3 points, she was able to decisively pin down her opponent, winning by fall at 5:41.
In the next match, she faced off against Khanum Velieva of the Russian Olympic Committee. As the Mongolian athlete had more experience compared to her 22-year-old opponent, she was able to qualify for the semifinals by taking down her opponent twice, finishing the match with a score of 8:5.
Battsetseg will be testing her strength and skills against Blessing Oborududu of Nigeria in the semifinals.
