Virtual meeting held between NSO, Statistics Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. As part of the Memorandum of Cooperation established between the National Statistics Office of Mongolia and Statistics Korea, a virtual meeting has been held.


During his opening remarks, Vice Commissioner of Statistics Korea Kim Kwang-sup said that the statistics offices of the two countries have been working together effectively since establishing a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2002.


While emphasizing that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of statistics have been expanding broadly, Director of National Statistics of Mongolia B.Batdavaa thanked Statistics Korea for its valuable contribution to bringing the capacity of Mongolia’s statistical information system up to international standards and improving the dissemination of information.


During the virtual meeting, presentations were made and experiences were exchanged on the use of Mongolia's administrative database, business statistics, the general population statistics, the use of the Korean administrative database, the development of business statistics using administrative databases, and marriage statistics. Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation, the two sides successfully held 16 meetings and training.
