More sites and monuments appended to list of historical and cultural monuments under state protection

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its meeting today on June 30, the Cabinet appended the list of historical and cultural monuments under state protection.
The following sites were added to the list of historical and cultural monuments under state protection:
• ‘Kharganiin Durvuljin’ in Ulziit soum, Arkhangai aimag,
• ‘Chilen Balgas’ at Ugiinuur soum, and Hunnu burial site at Tamiriin Ulaan Khoshuu in Arkhangai aimag,
• ‘Tsagaan Asga’ in Sagsai soum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag,
• ‘Chikhen Agui’ rockshelter in Bayan-Undur soum, Bayankhongor aimag,
• the remains of Biger Nomun Khan Monastery in Biger soum, Gobi-Altai aimag,
• the remains of Khamariin Khiid Monastery in Sainshand soum, Dornogobi aimag,
• ‘Khar Khutul’ paleontological site in Saikhandulaan soum, Dornogobi aimag,
• ‘Paaluu’ petroglyph in Guchin-Us soum, Uvurkhangai aimag,
• ‘Mangasiin Khuree’ site and ‘Khavirgiin Zoo’ paleontological site in Khanbogd soum, Umnugobi aimag,
• ‘Boroogiin Durvuljin’ in Mandal soum, Selenge aimag,
• the Marshal’s Residence (the Winter Palace of Marshal Kh.Choibalsan), and the two stone lion statues at the Bogd Khaan’s Green Palace in the capital city,
• the depiction of the Dagvasundel deity in Sumber soum, Gobisumber aimag.
Approved as according to the Law on Protection of Cultural Heritage in 2020, the list of historical and cultural monuments includes 182 monuments. The Ministry of Culture is currently in charge of carrying out works for its preservation and protection.
