ARF Senior Officials’ Meeting held

Director of the Policy and Planning Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sh.Odonbaatar participated in the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Senior Officials’ Meeting organized by Brunei Darussalam on June 29, 2021, presenting Mongolia’s position on regional and international security issues.
This year's ARF Senior Officials’ meeting was held virtually due
to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ARF was established in 1994 to foster constructive dialogue
and consultation on political and security issues of common interest and
concern; and to make significant contributions to efforts towards
confidence-building and preventive diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific region.
The current participants in the ARF are as follows: Australia,
Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, China, Democratic People’s
Republic of Korea, European Union, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia,
Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines,
Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, United
States, and Viet Nam.
