Mongolia-Poland Parliamentary Group Chair meets Polish Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of the State Great Khural B.Enkhbayar on June 15 had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia Krzysztof Bojko.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, MP B.Enkhbayar voiced his appreciation of the important role the Mongolia-Poland parliamentary cooperation has been playing in further expanding relations and cooperation between the two countries with long-standing friendly relations as well as his meeting with the Ambassador taking place not long after he took up the position of Mongolia-Poland parliamentary group chair. 

 

Ambassador Krzysztof Bojko expressed pleasure that Mongolia-Poland relations and cooperation have been strengthened in recent years, mentioning works he is carrying out to expand the friendly relations in all sectors. 

 

The celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries was postponed due to the pandemic last year. The Mongolian side is making preparations to host an international academic conference in November in honor of the anniversary. It will be organized under the auspices of the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of Poland.

 

Moreover, plans are afoot to hold a Frederic Chopin international piano competition in Mongolia in collaboration with the Mongolian State Conservatory. With support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, the competition will take place under the auspices of the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs.  

 

The Mongolia-Poland Parliamentary Group Chair said parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, particularly the relations and cooperation between the parliamentary friendship groups have an important role in expanding relations between the people of the two countries that have shared principles and values of democracy, human rights, freedom, and pluralism. He then undertook to put effort into deepening cooperation between the parliamentary friendship groups and having the group members share their experience and make reciprocal visits and expressed his readiness to support every event to take place this fall in honor of the diplomatic anniversary.

 

The sides both affirmed their willingness to intensify relations and cooperation in economic, cultural, scientific, humanitarian and all other areas.
