State Honored Athlete Kh.Erdenet-Od appointed as IJF World Promotion Director

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The International Judo Foundation’s (IJF) Congress was held in Budapest, Hungary on June 3. During the Congress meeting, Kh.Erdenet-Od was officially appointed as World Promotion Director on the IJF Executive Committee. State Honored Athlete, State Honored Coach Kh.Erdenet-Od is one of the first female judokas of Mongolia.
Organized for the first time since the emerging of the COVID-19 pandemic, matters including the organization of world championship tournaments as well as the Olympic judo competition, and tournament referees, and training were discussed during the Congress.
During the meeting, Marius Vizer was also re-elected as IJF President. Initially elected as the Foundation’s President in 2007, he has made significant contributions in bringing the sport’s development to a new level, making IJF one of the most famous international sports federations.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Hungary, Dr. Z.Batbayar also attended the congress as a representative of Mongolia and participated in the voting.
