Judoka M.Urantsetseg wins bronze at world championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Mongolian judoka M.Uransetseg has won the bronze medal from the women’s 48 kg weight class at the 2021 World Judo Championships, becoming the first Mongolian to win four medals from the world championships.


For the bronze medal, she took down Kosovan judoka Distria Krasniqi through penalties.



In 2020, Mongolia’s honored athlete and world champion M.Urantsetseg was registered at Guinness World Record with her achievement in judo wrestling. Specifically, she was named as a recipient of the most medals, winning a total of 35 medals: 11 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals in the women’s -48 kg and -52 kg categories during the competitions of IJF World Tour held from December 17, 2010 to April 5, 2019.
