Issues faced in combating corruption discussed

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Asia Foundation organized ‘Combating Corruption Crimes: Challenges and Opportunities’ virtual conference in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB) and legal and judicial sector partner organizations on April 29.
The findings of ‘Corruption Case Flow Diagnostic Assessment’, conducted under the ‘Strengthening the Anti-Corruption Regime in Mongolia’ project, which is being implemented with ADB support, was presented and an open discussion was held on ways to resolve legal and institutional issues faced in combating corruption crimes.
Over 70 officials representing the Independent Authority Against Corruption, General Prosecutor’s Office, Judicial General Council, Legal Standing Committee of State Great Khural (Parliament), Law Department of Cabinet Secretariat, Legal Policy Department of Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs participated in the conference.
