State Honored Athlete E.Bekhbayar qualifies for Tokyo Olympics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the first day of the World Olympic Games Qualifier that is taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, State Honored Athlete E.Bekhbayar qualified for the finals in the men’s 57 kg weight class.
He qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games by coming out victorious over Azerbaijani athlete Giorgi Edisherashvili by 6:2. He is the 8th wrestling athlete of Mongolia to qualify for the Summer Olympics.
Today, he will be facing off against Japanese athlete Yuki Takahashi for the gold medal.
With this, the national men’s team has qualified for the 57, 65, and 125 kg weight classes in the Tokyo Olympics.
