COVID-19: 206 new cases recorded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 206 people were diagnosed with coronavirus after performing 12,326 tests nationwide in the last 24 hours.


Of the newly detected cases, 191 were reported in Ulaanbaatar city while seven cases were registered in Darkhan-Uul aimag, three cases in Tuv aimag, one case in Khuvsgul aimag and two cases in Uvs aimag. Moreover, two healthcare workers were tested positive for coronavirus.


A total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia now stands at 5,392. 152 people have recovered in the past 24 hours. Thus the number of recovered people has reached 3,758. Furthermore, six cases recorded previously in Shiluustei soum, Zavkhan aimag have fully recovered as four people who were under treatment in the soum’s hospital made recovery.


A total of 1,419 people are undergoing treatment at the National Center for Communicable Diseases, Capital City Maternal and Child Health Center, general hospitals of Sukhbaatar district, Songinokhairkhan district, Tuv, Uvs, Khuvsgul and Darkhan-Uul aimag. Four of them are in very critical health condition.
