MUST and George Mason University to run 2+2 program

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia and the George Mason University of the United States established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 11. Within the frame of the cooperation, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the George Mason University will implement 2+2 program.  


The George Mason University’s annual tuition fee for foreign students is USD 26 thousand. However, the sides have resolved to grant scholarship of USD 5000 to only Mongolian students. In addition, it is available for the students to enjoy tuition fee discount up to USD 12 thousand depending on learning success starting from the second session at the George Mason University.


The George Mason University is a public research university in Virginia, USA. Founded in 1949, the university leads in finance, economics and business. Mason operates four campuses in the U.S. as well as a fifth campus in South Korea.


To be involved in the 2+2 program the students will be required to have grade point average of less than 2.75 and TOEFL IBT score of 80 or higher or IELTS score of 6.5. The agreement outlines to transfer credits up to 90 between the universities.


With the same terms, the Ministry of Education and Science is working to conclude next agreement with the University of Kansas.
