Sukhbaatar aimag puts forth suggestion to establish American Cultural and Information Center

Sukhbaatar /MONTSAME/. Governor of Sukhbaatar aimag M.Iderbat held a meeting with Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia Michael Klecheski. During the meeting, the Governor put forth a suggestion to establish an American Cultural and Information Center in the aimag.
By establishing the center in the aimag, it will become possible for the local children and youth to learn English for free as well as to organize various training aimed to develop their creative thinking, innovation, and teamwork skills. In response, the U.S. Ambassador expressed his support for the suggestion. As of today, American Cultural and Information Centers have been established in five aimags in the country.
During the meeting, the side of the U.S. Embassy also introduced exchange programs being implemented in Mongolia to support English language education as well as the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. Furthermore, they exchanged views on matters such as economy, tourism, and culture and education in Sukhbaatar aimag.
