School in Uvurkhangai aimag to be renovated within Grass-roots program

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Yesterday, on March 10, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Kobayashi Hiroyuki and Governor of Uvurkhangai aimag A.Ishdorj signed an agreement for the renovation project of a Japanese classroom at “Merged” school which will be realized as part of the government of Japan’s Cultural Grass-roots grant aid program.
During the signing ceremony which was held at the Embassy of Japan to Mongolia, Governor A.Ishdorj thanked Japan’s support not only for improving the learning environment for the students of the school, but also for supporting the human resources capacity building in the aimag. Since its establishment in 1998, the school has been teaching Japanese for 22 years.
Within the framework of the project which will be realized for six months with the total cost of MNT 120 million, the Japanese classroom will be fully renovated and equipment, such as computers, printers, etc.
