Public servants to be involved in doctoral program of Nagoya University
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ It has become possible for public servants of Mongolia to enroll into doctoral program of combined distance and classroom learning at the Nagoya University of Japan, one of world’s top 100 universities.
Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan, Ambassador of Japan Kobayashi Hiroyuki, President of National University of Mongolia B.Ochirkhuyag, President of Nagoya University Seiichi Matsuo and over 100 civil servants attended a virtual meeting to present the doctoral program.
During the meeting, Minister
L.Enkh-Amgalan expressed his gratitude to the Japanese side on conducting joint
researches and making contribution in development of education sector of
Mongolia by implementing number of projects and programs to support education. The
Minister also voiced to back the program for upskilling public servants as
creating a neutral, sustainable, specialized and citizen centered public service
is one of Government priorities.
Expressing thanks to the Mongolian Ministry of Education and Science and the Embassy of Japan for their support and collaboration, President of Nagoya University S.Matsuo said he is willing to expand cooperation with national universities of Mongolia. Mr. S.Matsuo remarked that the doctoral program could advance knowledge exchange and academic cooperation to a new level.
Public servants who enrolled into the program will study for a doctorate at the Nagoya University, while continuing his/her work in public service. The fellowship program
will enroll students in the areas of law, education, psychology, environment
and medical science.
