Meeting held between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Azerbaijan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fifth political consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held virtually on February 23. The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Munkhjin and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ramiz Ayvaz oglu Hasanov.

 

At the meeting, Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin gave information on the current social and economic situation in Mongolia, the government’s goals, activities, and measures aimed at tackling the pandemic and reviving the economy and the long-term development policy ‘Vision 2050’.

 

Both parties expressed readiness to expand the traditional friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas of common interest and agreed to restore bilateral trade and economic relations and strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture, energy, tourism, education, science, and culture.

 

They also agreed to make efforts to establish air transport, trade and economic cooperation, and veterinary cooperation between the two countries in the near future, hold the consultative meeting regularly in the future, set up a dialogue mechanism for economic cooperation, and foster parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
