Ambassador to ROK presents her credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea N.Erdenetuya presented her letter of credence to ROK President Moon Jae-in on February 17.

 

Following the credentials presentation, Ambassador N.Erdenetuya conveyed to the ROK President the warm regards of President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga and undertook to make efforts to elevate Mongolia’s comprehensive partnership with its third neighbor, the ROK, and deepen cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador underscored that trade, economic, cultural, educational, and humanitarian relations have been expanding year on year and that the way has been paved for cooperation in the areas of innovation and startup between Mongolia and the ROK, which has the most Mongolian expats.

 

In his remarks, ROK President Moon Jae-in mentioned that Mongolia is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the People’s Revolution this July and stressed the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in overcoming COVID-19. Moreover, the President emphasized that it is feasible for the two countries to cooperate under the ROK’s ‘Korean New Deal’ policy designed to support post-COVID-19 economic recovery.   

 

President Moon Jae-in noted that the ROK government attaches great significance to the ROK’s initiative for peace and cooperation on the Korean Peninsula as well as the ‘Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G)’ international climate summit scheduled to take place in the ROK in May 2021 and asked to continue cooperation in these efforts. The ROK President congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and undertook to provide all-round support to deepen bilateral relations.
