Online meeting held with ILO National Coordinator

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Chairman of the National Statistical
Office B. Batdavaa held an online meeting with International Labor Organization’s
National Coordinator in Mongolia P. Bolormaa and other officials on February 15.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the NSO
thanked the ILO for its cooperation in projects
and programs to improve labor market statistics and strengthen national
statistical capacity.
During the meeting, the ILO National Coordinator exchanged
views on some issues, including providing support to calculate decent
employment annually within the framework of SDGs, joining the ILO Convention
No. 160 on Labor Statistics of 1985, using statistical data for policy development, organizing
joint online training as well as assessing situation and impact of informal
employment.
Moreover, the NSO Chairman B. Batdavaa asked for ILO’s
support to conduct the Child Labor Surveys independently within the 2021-2025
program on the labor statistics development, and to collect statistical data during the pandemic and conduct green work
surveys regularly. He also emphasized that he would focus on cooperating with
international organizations in providing statistical information to consumers
and on assessing informal employment.
