Online seminar held with National Statistical Committee of Belarus

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The National Statistics Office of
Mongolia (NSO) today has organized an online seminar with the National
Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The two organizations signed an agreement on cooperation in
the field of statistics in 2020. Within the framework of ensuring the implementation
of this agreement, a plan for 2020-2022 was approved. In this
regard, the first online seminar has been organized to share experiences.
The seminar presented the main activities of the NSO, the
results of the 2020 Population and Housing Census, the COVID-19 impact on the businesses
and Mongolian economy, and the results of a household-based survey to determine
the impact of the COVID-19.
The National Statistical Committee of Belarus also provided information
on the results of the 2019 Population Census of the country and COVID-19
response measures and shared its experience.
As a conclusion of the meeting, the two parties concurred to
implement the activities included in the plan and hold regular seminars to
learn from experiences of the parties.
