Ambassador to Poland meets Polish Undersecretary of State

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Poland B.Dorj paid a call on Polish Undersecretary of State for Climate and Environment, Chief National Geologist Piotr Dziadzio on January 26.
At the meeting, Ambassador B.Dorj underscored the importance of creating a solid basis for bilateral ties, launching a major cooperation initiative between Mongolia and Poland, and restoring bilateral cooperation in the areas of geology and paleontology.
Incidentally, between 1960 and 1990, joint expeditions of the two countries worked in Mongolia, studying rare earth elements, gold, coal, lead, copper, molybdenum, zinc, fluorspar, silver, and other minerals and conducting hydrogeological and paleontological exploration works.
The parties agreed to settle some issues that had been under discussion in the areas of mining and geology between the two countries and sign cooperation documents between relevant organizations of the two countries.
