Sterile processing department of Uvurkhangai regional health care facility renovated

Uvurkhangai /MONTSAME/ As part of the Fifth Health Sector Development Project funded by the Asian Development Bank, he central sterile services department of the Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Uvurkhangai aimag has been renovated and equipped with 13 types of medical equipment.
Sopecifically, with around MNT 900 million funding, the department underwnet full renovation and provided with a ventilation system and 17 pieces of sterile processing equipment.
Moreover, with MNT 875 million funding from the Ministry of Health, a separate rehabilitation department was established at the regional health care facility. “The unit serves 6-8 thousand people annually and the number of customers increasing year by year. The separation of the department opens up an opportunity for diversification and improved quality and accessibility of rehabilitation services,” said department head B.Azzaya.
