Society
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on December 23, the Cabinet decided to make amendments to relevant laws and regulations to ensure that children with disabilities have equal access to schools and kindergartens and offer alternative education services including homeschooling to those unable to attend classroom sessions.
The Cabinet ordered relevant ministers, agencies, and
governors of aimags and the capital city to employ assistants for students with
disabilities at universities, colleges, and vocational schools; ensure
inclusive digital education delivery and develop digital contents for special
education; make it compulsory for teaching majors to complete a course in
working with children with disabilities; annually involve teachers in upskilling
and foreign exchange programs; specifically set the salary and benefits of school
and kindergarten teachers and employees working with children with
disabilities; and make the areas surrounding all levels of educational
institutions and the toilets and classrooms inside the institutions disabled-accessible.
