COVID-19: Total confirmed cases in Mongolia reach 1006

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Today, Mongolia has reported 13 new cases
of COVID-19 after testing 12,357 people nationwide within the past 24 hours. The
cases were all related to Bayanzurkh hospital infection.
A.Ambaselmaa, a Head of the Surveillance Department of the
National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), said “There have been 75 confirmed
cases from Bayanzurkh hospital infection. Contact tracing and surveillance works
are underway in the capital city. Since yesterday, 113 new contacts have been identified.
In total, 1249 people, who were in close contact with the above 75 cases, have
been identified, and 240 people were re-tested, and testing for others
is running.”
Today, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia
has reached 1006, with 541 recoveries.
No new infections were recorded in Selenge, Darkhan-Uul, Orkhon,
Dornogobi, Gobisumber and Arkhangai aimags.
