Kindergartens to operate day nursery starting from 2021

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting dated December 16, the Cabinet allowed kindergartens which have 12 and more classes, to operate day-nursery from September 1, 2021.
One class of the day nursery will have less than 15 children aged 1-2 and with one teacher and two assistant teachers. Funding for providing toys, creating safe environment and other necessary expenses will be reflected in the annual state budget.
Day-nursery will operate at 60 state-owned kindergartens in 2021-2022 and it is expected that 20 kindergartens to have day nursery in the next four years. According to a survey, 3600 children-in need, whose family is under the standard of living, whose health growth is weak and other reasons, will be involved.
By backing to operate day nursery at private kindergartens beginning from the academic year of 2022-2023, condition will be created for involving about 8000 children in day- nursery as minimum.
As of today, there are 130 children cared in two day nurseries of Khentii and Selenge aimags while child’s clinic sanatoriums are operating in Bayanzurkh, Khan-Uul and Songinokhairkhan districts.
