Youth Virtual Meeting between Mongolia and Russian Federation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In connection with the 100th anniversary of Russian-Mongolian diplomatic relations, the Youth Virtual Meeting between Mongolia and Russian Federation was held on December 3, 2020, jointly organized by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russian Federation, National Youth Council of Russia and Russian Technological University (MIREA).

 

Approximately 50 delegates, including representatives of government organizations in charge of youth policy, embassies, leaders and representatives of youth organizations, project coordinators, young parliamentarians and students interested in deveoping Russian-Mongolian cooperation, have participated in the meeting.

 

In the beginning of the meeting, H.E.Ariunzaya Ayush, Minister for Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia, has presented speech within the framework of Plenary Session “State and prospects of Russian-Mongolian relations, Russian - Mongolian humanitarian cooperation, the role of youth and civic diplomacy in the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Mongolia”, in addition to introducing legislations, policy and measures towards youth of Mongolia.

 

Besides, the Minister has emphasized that the driving force behind the development of any country is the youth, and called for the development and strengthening of cooperation between governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as expressing the openness to cooperate in the field of youth with neighboring countries at regional and international level to exchange knowledge and experiences.

 

During the discussion of the meeting, the youth representatives of the border regions of Altai Republic, Tuva Republic and Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation have established relationship with the representatives of relevant aimags /provinces/ of the Mongolian Youth Federation to expand their further cooperation.

 

Furthermore, both parties have exchanged bilateral views and concurred with further cooperation on exchanging knowledge, know-how and experiences in the field of youth, including social projects which have been successfully implemented, organizing joint projects and programs on the environment and ecology, organizing a youth forum and so on.
