Deputy Foreign Minister addresses IOM Council session

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 111th session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is being held online in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 24-27. Representatives of 133 IOM member and observer states and international organizations are participating in the IOM Council session.

 

In his speech at the General Debate of the session, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Munkhjin underlined that IOM has been diligently fulfilling its duties and successfully implementing its policy and strategic objectives during the global pandemic.  

 

The Deputy Minister also said IOM Mongolia Office has been closely cooperating with the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and making substantial contributions for repatriations of hundreds of Mongolians stranded abroad and undertook to further work together with the organization in the successful implementation of Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration endorsed by the United Nations.
