Consultative meeting held between Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Kazakhstan
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A virtual consultative meeting of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of Kazakhstan took place on October 14. The meeting was co-chaired by Director of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry’s Department of Asia and the Pacific E.Sarantogos and Director of the Kazakhstani Foreign Ministry's Department of Asia Pacific Region Nurgali Arystanov.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of Mongolia-Kazakhstan
cooperation in the areas of politics, economy, culture, and education as well
as the plans to be undertaken in the near future and reviewed the implementation of
the plans agreed on during high-level visits and agreed to put emphasis on
speeding up the projects hampered by COVID-19. They also discussed high-level visits and events scheduled for next year, documents to be signed in
the near future for the creation of a favorable legal framework for relations between the two
countries, and regional cooperation issues.
At the meeting, it was decided to hold the 8th
meeting of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission virtually within this
year and make the necessary arrangements with promptitude. Mongolian Ambassador
to Kazakhstan L.Battulga, Kazakhstani Ambassador to Mongolia Zhalgas
Adilbayev, and other foreign ministry officials of the two countries took
part in the meeting.
